ENTSOG publishes its final guidelines for TYNDP 2024

On Monday, 16 October, the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG) published its Final Guidelines for Project Inclusion for the Ten-Year Network Development Plan 2024 (TYNDP 2024).

The purpose of these recommendations is to guide project promoters through the various procedural steps and the administrative and technical standards required in order to be included in the TYNDP 2024.

Following the public consultation launched on 12 September (see EUROPE 13249/33), ENTSOG incorporated feedback from the European Commission and ACER as well as comments from stakeholders. This new document also includes a consultation report detailing the various comments that were received.

Participation in ENTSOG’s TYNDP 2024 is crucial in order to receive project of common interest (PCI) or project of mutual interest (PMI) status, particularly for hydrogen-focused projects.

In preparation for the next phase of data collection, a handbook is being written for users. It will provide invaluable support for project submission—with a detailed guide on the portal and the process. It is expected to be published at the end of October, before ENTSOG officially starts collecting projects at the beginning of November.
