On Tuesday 12 September, the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG) published an initial version of the guidelines for its Ten-Year Network Development Plan 2024 (TYNDP 2024), to help project developers prepare for the plan. And with good reason, ENTSOG plans to launch its process of collecting programmes for hydrogen and natural gas infrastructures in November 2023.
These guidelines, which are open to consultation by stakeholders until 29 September, provide information for promoters on both the procedural stages and the administrative and technical considerations for including a project in the TYNDP 2024. They are also designed to be more in line with the revised TEN-E regulation (see EUROPE 12953/27) and to take account of current activities linked to the energy transition and decarbonisation.
Interested stakeholders are invited to participate in dedicated webinars on 12 and 19 September 2023, during which the content of the draft guidance document will be presented and any questions will be addressed.
ENTSOG will revise the draft Guidelines for Project Inclusion (GPI) for the TYNDP 2024 development based on the comments received and expects to publish the final version in early October 2023.
