European Parliament’s Committee on Agriculture rejects proposal on nature restoration

The European Parliament’s Committee on Agriculture adopted, on Tuesday 23 May, an amendment to reject the European Commission’s proposal for a Nature Restoration Law.

The Committee on Agriculture adopted its opinion on this text. It does not have jurisdiction over the substance (the European Parliament’s Committee on the Environment will vote in June), but the proposed rejection (29 votes for rejection, 16 against and one abstention) represents a strong signal towards the concerns...
