As the Swedish Presidency of the EU Council expects to obtain a mandate in June on the directive on the freezing and confiscation of assets(see EUROPE B13181A11), including those of persons violating sanctions related to the war in Ukraine, the European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties agreed on its position, on Tuesday 23 May, adopting the report by Lorànt Vincze (EPP, Romanian) by 50 votes to 1 with 4 abstentions and the mandate by 53 votes, none against and...
