22/05/23 (Agence Europe) – The Swedish Presidency of the EU Council presented on 3 May a draft revised text, as seen by EUROPE, concerning fees and charges payable to the European Medicines Agency (EMA). New changes compared to previous versions of the compromise texts are highlighted in dark grey. Text marked in bold reflects changes to the original Commission proposal (presented in previous compromises). The Commission proposed to revise the system of fees and charges payable to the EMA in order to simplify the rules, to ensure the sustainability of the financing of the agency’s activities and to enable the EMA to fund the new tasks it has been given (see EUROPE 13049/19).
