European Commission approves €2 billion Austrian aid to Wien Energie

04/04/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 4 April, the European Commission authorised €2 billion in Austrian aid to support energy supplier Wien Energie GmbH in the context of Russia’s war against Ukraine. The measure was approved under the Temporary Crisis and Transition Framework on State aid, adopted by the Commission on 9 March 2023.
