Coordination of social security schemes, a blocking minority is said to exist on latest Swedish proposals

Member States reportedly failed, during an EU Council Working Party on Social Questions on 29 March, to support Sweden’s latest proposals on reforming Regulation 883/2004 on the rules for coordinating social security schemes after a blocking minority of 13 Member States formed, an EU source reported on Tuesday 4 April (see EUROPE B13146A17).

New proposals are therefore expected from this group of countries.
