European Commission increases funding for innovation in civil security and renewable energy

On Friday 31 March, the European Commission announced an increase in European funding for research and innovation (R&I) in the civil security and renewable energy sectors.

On the same day, it adopted an amendment to the Horizon Europe main work programme for 2023 and 2024 which was adopted on 6 December (see EUROPE B13078A25).

Firstly, this amendment will see the allocation of an additional €50 million to the main work programme to strengthen European R&I in civil protection.
