Brussels, 16/03/2023 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 15 March, the European Commission revised the Erasmus+ work programme for 2023. The budget for the flagship youth mobility programme will be increased to €4.43 billion, the highest annual budget ever. A revised work programme provides for a pre-funding of €100 million from the Erasmus+ budget for 2027 to support projects that promote the integration of people fleeing the war in Ukraine in their new learning environments (language integration courses, scholarships, etc.) The international dimension of Erasmus+ has also been strengthened with an additional €31 million, in particular to support the creation of digital learning environments offering quality higher education to Ukrainian students living in the EU or remaining in Ukraine. In 2023, a new programme action will support exchanges of sports educators. The next application period will start on 22 March. See: https://aeur.eu/f/5uj (MB)
