European Commission will publish a reflection paper on post-2027 CAP in autumn of 2023

08/03/2023 (Agence Europe) – At the ‘More farms in Europe’ event organised on Tuesday 7 March by the European Coordination Via Campesina (ECVC), the Commissioner for Agriculture, Janusz Wojciechowski, confirmed that the European Commission will adopt a reflection paper on the post-2027 Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) in the autumn 2023 (see EUROPE 13080/5). One of the important topics of this document should be support for small farms, he added. The ECVC presented its proposal for a European directive on agricultural land (https://aeur.eu/f/5p6 ) with measures to facilitate access to land for farmers and help double the farming population by 2040.
