Dutch House of Representatives calls for an EU/Mercosur agreement without agricultural part or nothing

07/03/2023 (Agence Europe) – The Dutch House of Representatives (lower house) adopted the motion tabled on 23 February (see EUROPE B13130A24), calling on its government to block the EU/Mercosur trade agreement as long as it includes the agricultural sector. The text was adopted thanks to the votes of many small parties. Those belonging to the Renew Europe group (D66 and VVD), but also the Christian Democratic party CDA voted against the motion. (LM)
