06/02/2023 (Agence Europe) – On 3 February 2023, the European Commission, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the Heads of Medicines Agencies (HMAs) launched a public consultation on the creation of a multi-stakeholder platform to improve clinical trials in the European Union. This platform is linked to the joint initiative to accelerate clinical trials in the EU ‘ACT EU’ (see EUROPE 13088/9). Participants are invited to express their views on the main work priorities and to express their interest in joining the platform via an online form until 3 March 2023. The platform participants will meet regularly to discuss priorities. They will be supported by thematic groups that will work on different technical aspects. A kick-off meeting is planned for the second quarter of 2023, after the public consultation. (EV)
