06/02/2023 (Agence Europe) – The Italian National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) warned, on Sunday 5 February, of the risks of a large-scale ransomware cyberattack currently being carried out in the EU. Canada and the United States are also targeted. Several dozen entities and companies were affected,ACN announced. In France, at the end of last week, several dozen alerts had already been sent to the governmental Centre for monitoring, alert and response to computer attacks (CERT-FR). Several thousand computer servers are believed to be compromised worldwide, according to some IT experts. However, this number is likely to increase further, they warn, calling on organisations to take steps to avoid having their systems blocked. (TM)
