01/02/2023 (Agence Europe) – The three European Supervisory Authorities (ESAs) - EBA, ESMA and EIOPA - on Tuesday 31 January launched a consultation paper on draft joint guidelines on the system for the exchange of information when assessing the fitness and propriety requirements. These guidelines aim to increase the efficiency of information exchange between sectoral supervisors, by harmonising practices and clarifying how competent authorities should use the information system developed by the ESAs. The joint guidelines are divided into two parts. The first concerns the way in which competent authorities should enter data and use the ESA information system. The second part clarifies how competent authorities can cooperate in exchanging information. The consultation is open until Tuesday 2 May. For more information: https://aeur.eu/f/562 (AD)
