17/11/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 17 November, the European Commission launched a call for proposals under the Digital Europe programme. The call will be used to strengthen the cybersecurity of 5G network infrastructure by supporting secure services and improving the testing and certification capabilities of technology solutions and services, with €176.5 million in grants. Emphasis should also be placed on developing infrastructures for enhanced cooperation on cybersecurity between Member States and the European Commission. The grants should also be used to support the implementation of the new rules of the revised ‘NIS 2’ directive, which should ensure a high level of cybersecurity throughout the EU (see EUROPE 12952/1). The call for proposals is open until 15 February 2023. (TM)
