Regulation on fishing opportunities in Baltic published in Official Journal of EU

31/10/22 (Agence Europe) – Council Regulation 2022/2090 of 27 October 2022 fixing the fishing opportunities for certain fish stocks in the Baltic Sea for 2023 was published in the Official Journal of the EU on Monday 31 October. The fisheries ministers of the EU Member States reached a political agreement on these TACs and quotas in Luxembourg on Monday 17 October (see EUROPE 13044/2). The regulation includes TACs only for cod by-catches in the Eastern and Western Baltic. The same restrictions apply to Western Baltic herring and salmon in the main basin.
