Commissioner Várhelyi announces €500 million for housing, education and agriculture

28/09/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Commissioner for Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Olivér Várhelyi, announced on Wednesday 28 September, during his visit to Kyiv, the disbursement of €500 million of EU budgetary aid to support housing solutions, education and improve food security through support for the agricultural sector in Ukraine. This announcement follows the signing of the funding agreement in the margins of the EU-Ukraine Association Council on 5 September. During his third official mission to Ukraine, Commissioner Várhelyi is scheduled to meet with members of the government and representatives of the Verkhovna Rada to discuss EU support and the reforms identified in the Commission’s opinion on Ukraine’s membership application.
