European Commission continues its infringement procedure against Constitutional Tribunal with a reasoned opinion

On Friday 15 July, the Commission sent a reasoned opinion to Poland concerning the Polish Constitutional Tribunal and its judgments of 14 July 2021 and 7 October 2021, in which the Tribunal found that the provisions of the EU Treaties were incompatible with the Polish Constitution. The Commission had opened the infringement in December (see EUROPE B12859A4).
