30/06/2022 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission published a document on Thursday 30 June to ensure school continuity and foster the integration of refugee children from Ukraine. With a view to the start of the 2022-2023 school year, the Commission has compiled a set of principles and best practice in a working document. It is written for educational communities in Europe to support them in responding to the social, educational and emotional needs of refugee children, from early childhood to the age of 18. Work was carried out with relevant international organisations and with Ukrainian educational communities. Some of the recommendations focus on preserving children’s connection to the Ukrainian education system. (see EUROPE 12926/11). This document is available on the School Education Gateway platform which has a section on Ukraine (see EUROPE 12913/5). Link to the document: https://aeur.eu/f/2g5 (EV)
