The European Commission announced at mid-day on Thursday 9 June that, faced with the explosion of humanitarian needs in Ukraine, it is mobilising an additional €205 million in emergency aid for the Ukrainian population.
On the same day, the European Commissioner for Crisis Management, Janez Lenarčič, flew to Kyiv to meet with humanitarian organisations and government officials and to help coordinate the EU’s humanitarian response on the ground.
