Organic aquaculture production has increased by 60% in 5 years, says EUMOFA report

23/05/2022 (Agence Europe) – A report by the European Market Observatory for Fisheries and Aquaculture Products (EUMOFA), published on 20 May, shows that EU organic aquaculture production has increased by 60% in 5 years (2015-2020), mainly due to a growth in organic mussel production. Organic finfish production, however, is stagnating or even decreasing due to limited demand and technical difficulties in implementing the EU regulation.
