Ukraine and Moldova synchronise their electricity grids with EU grid

The electricity grids of Ukraine and Moldova have been successfully synchronised with the European continental grid, the European Commission announced on Wednesday 16 March, calling the synchronisation a “historic step” in EU-Ukraine relations.

“Ukraine has become a member of the European Energy Union”, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Twitter, thanking the EU.
