Schengen acquis, Committee on Civil Liberties MEPs want surprise field visits to Member States to remain unannounced

16/03/2022 (Agence Europe)The European Parliament’s Committee on Civil Liberties has adopted its position on the reform of the Schengen evaluation mechanism by 50 votes to 13 with 4 abstentions. The European Parliament, only consulted, is asking for the 24-hour advance notice for all unannounced visits to be removed.
