22/02/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 21 February, the European Commission opened a contribution period for a draft implementing regulation on vehicle safety and certification. The aim of this project is to modify the models for type-approval and the numbering system in the framework of Regulation 2020/683 on the implementation of the Regulation on administrative requirements for the type-approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles. These amendments aim to take into account the General Safety Regulation and its delegated and implementing acts applicable from 6 July 2022. The contribution period is open until 21 March.
