22/02/2022 (Agence Europe) – On Tuesday 22 February, the EU-27 Ministers for European Affairs received a presentation from the Vice-President of the European Commission, Maroš Šefčovič, on the state of play of relations between the European Union and the United Kingdom. Mr Šefčovič reported on the outcome of the Joint Committee held the previous day with the British Foreign Secretary Liz Truss. This meeting did not lead to a breakthrough (see EUROPE 12895/4). The Commission vice-president told the ministers of the Commission's wish to continue the efforts up to a certain limit, with Šefčovič standing ready to tell member states that these exchanges will have to stop if there is no reason to continue, a source reported.
