13/12/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament’s Vice-President for the European film prize LUX, Klara Dobrev (S&D, Hungary), announced on Saturday 11 December the three films shortlisted for the LUX Audience Award 2022. The three films are: - Flee, an animated film by Danish director Jonas Poher Rasmussen, about an Afghan child refugee; - Great Freedom, a film by Austrian director Sebastian Meise, which depicts the character Hans, who is imprisoned for his homosexuality in post-war Germany; - Quo vadis Aida?, directed by Bosnian Jasmila Žbanić, whose protagonist, Aida, is a translator for the peacekeeping forces in Srebrenica in 1995. As in the first edition (see EUROPE 12737/7), the three films will be screened in cinemas across the EU and Europeans will be able to vote for their favourite film until 25 May via this website: https://bit.ly/3pUpa5e (AC)
