30/11/2021 (Agence Europe) – Portugal was among the signatories of the letter sent to the president of the European Commission on Monday, 29 November, that calls for an “ambitious” directive to protect digital platform workers, notably by introducing a presumption of salaried status and a reversal of the burden of proof (see EUROPE 12842/15). Thus, five Member States—namely Germany, Italy, Spain, Belgium, and Portugal—are calling for a strong text to improve working conditions for those who perform work for digital platforms. (PH)
