19/11/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission opened a call for evidence on Friday 19 November on establishing a common framework for calculating and reporting transport-related greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. With this initiative, the Commission intends to focus on transparency to enable users to choose the most sustainable transport options and providers to better control their GHG emissions. In effect, the Commission intends to facilitate “behavioural change” based on a “level playing field” for GHG emissions accounting. This would in part be made possible through the provision of “reliable” and “comparable” information on the GHG intensity of different transport services. The contribution period is open until 17 December. See the consultation: https://bit.ly/2Z482R7 (TM)
