Brussels, 28/09/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced on Tuesday, 28 September, that it had provided Moldova with a grant of €36.4 million so as to continue supporting police reform and the fight against Covid-19.
Of these funds, €21.4 million will help the Moldovan police modernise and professionalise its structures. More specifically, the funds will be mobilised to combat Covid-19 in the law enforcement sector.The remaining €15 million will help mitigate the socio-economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
This announcement was made while new Prime Minister Natalia Gavrilița and Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Nicu Popescu were in Brussels to meet EU officials. (Original version in French by Camille-Cerise Gessant)
