26/08/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 25 August, the European Financial Reporting Advisory Group (EFRAG) published a call for candidates for eleven external expert working groups to contribute to the development of draft European sustainability reporting standards (see EUROPE 12703/10). The technical work of the ‘Project Task Force on European Sustainability Reporting Standards’ (PTF-ESRS), which has been divided into ‘clusters’, is already well advanced (see EUROPE 12759/11). These clusters are currently scoping and drafting the very first version of the standards, aiming to have a preliminary pre-exposure draft version ready by mid-October, explains EFRAG. The external expert working groups will be tasked with reviewing this draft and contributing to the work of the task force. The deadline for applications is 15 September.
