EU denounces Tong Ying-kit’s conviction

30/07/2021 (Agence Europe) – European External Action Service (EEAS) spokesperson Nabila Massrali denounced on Friday 30 July the conviction of Tong Ying-kit, the first person to be convicted and sentenced under the National Security Law in Hong Kong. “This law is being used to stifle political pluralism and the exercise of human rights and political freedoms in Hong Kong”, the spokesperson said on Twitter.
