European Commission starts its assessment of Joint Harmonised EU Programme of Business and Consumer Surveys

30/07/2021 (Agence Europe)On Friday 30 July, the European Commission published its roadmap for the assessment of the Joint Harmonised EU Programme of Business and Consumer Surveys in 2022. The data collected through these surveys provide information on various aspects of the economic situation as perceived by entrepreneurs and consumers. The surveys are carried out at national level by institutions selected by the Commission. The Commission contributes up to 50% of the eligible costs necessary to carry out these surveys, i.e. around EUR 5 million per year. The assessment of the programme will cover the period since the last evaluation, i.e. from 2012 to 2021, and will examine the effectiveness, relevance, coherence and added value of the programme. It will be supported by a report by an independent external evaluator. Interested parties have until 27 August to send their comments to the Commission at the following address: https://bit.ly/3fe1bJE (MF)
