Sven Koopmans appointed EU Special Representative for Middle East Peace Process

30/04/2021 (Agence Europe) – On Thursday 29 April, the Council of the EU appointed Sven Koopmans as the European Union Special Representative (EUSR) for the Middle East Peace Process (MEPP) from 1 May 2021 to 28 February 2023, replacing Susanna Terstal. According to the EU Council, the Dutchman is a specialist in peace negotiations and a senior diplomat.
