30/04/2021 (Agence Europe) – The ambassadors of the Member States to the European Union (Coreper) will meet on 5 May to discuss, among other things, the interim agreement on the ‘Climate Law’ reached between the Council of the EU and the European Parliament (see EUROPE 12703/1). Barring any surprises, the ambassadors are expected to approve the agreement, paving the way for its adoption by ministers at the June ‘Environment Council’. For Parliament, the agreement still needs to be approved by the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety (ENVI) and then by all MEPs in plenary session. (DG)
