More Ukrainians applied for asylum in EU in February

20/04/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Asylum Support Office (EASO) reported on Tuesday 20 April an increase in asylum applications from Ukrainian nationals, who accounted for 72% of applications in February. This places them in the top ten nationalities of applicants. Approximately 38,300 applications for international protection were lodged in the EU+ in February 2021.
