20/04/2021 (Agence Europe) – The Ministers for Energy of the 27 Member States of the European Union and the European Commissioner for Energy, Kadri Simson, are to discuss the EU’s energy policy on Thursday 22 April during an informal video conference organised by the Portuguese Presidency of the Council of the EU. On the agenda of this virtual meeting, which is expected to last no longer than the morning, will be the EU’s ‘Renovation Wave’ Strategy (see EUROPE 12700/8) and the integration of the European energy system (see EUROPE 12523/2). The video conference will also provide an update on the joint political declaration made by countries in the Pentalateral Energy Forum – Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, France, Germany, Austria and Switzerland – which affirms their commitment to strengthening cooperation on hydrogen.
