19/04/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission announced, on Saturday 17 April, the launch of a consultation on the control of products entering the European Union in relation to Regulation 2019/1020 on market surveillance and compliance. Objective: to specify the statistical data that each Member State must submit to the European Commission each year on controls that their designated authorities have carried out during the previous calendar year on products subject to EU law. This data will cover about ten elements such as the total number of interventions or the number of interventions that resulted in the withdrawal of a product. The consultation is open until 15 May.
