23/02/2021 (Agence Europe) – The European Commission has postponed a presentation on the industrial strategy update from 17 March to 27 April, according to information we obtained on Tuesday 23 February. The reason is that it would not be the right timing given that Member States are focusing above all on managing vaccines in the fight against the pandemic; we were told that this would have detracted from the visibility of the update. For their part, Member States are fine-tuning their positions to make their voices heard in preparation for the update, starting with France and Germany (see EUROPE 12659/18). (PH)
