Emer Cooke, first woman to head European Medicines Agency

Brussels, 16/11/2020 (Agence Europe) – Ireland’s Emer Cooke officially took over as head of the European Medicines Agency (EMA) on Monday 16 November. She was appointed Executive Director of the EMA for a renewable five-year term, replacing Guido Rasi of Italy, who has been in office since 2011.
