03/11/2020 (Agence Europe) – The Heads of State or Government of the Member States of the European Union will continue their regular virtual discussions on Covid-19. After an initial videoconference on screening, tracing and vaccination on 29 October, the EU-27 are planning to hold further discussions starting at 6 p.m. on 19 November (see EUROPE 12592/1). This information was made public on Twitter on Tuesday 3 November by the spokesperson for the President of the European Council. By the time of the next discussion, the European Commission may have presented its common approach on quarantines, which will be informed by the new opinion from the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC). A decision was made in mid-October at the last physical European Summit to set up regular dialogue (see EUROPE 12583/1). (SPj)
