03/11/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Monday 2 November, the spokesperson for the European External Action Service condemned in the strongest possible terms the terrorist attack on Kabul University — claimed by Daech and killing some twenty people earlier in the day — calling it a “despicable act of terrorism”. This is the second attack on an educational institution in Kabul in less than ten days, following the attack on Dasht-e-Barchi on 24 October. “Such acts not only deliberately target innocent civilians, mostly young people, but constitute attacks against Afghanistan’s future”, the spokesperson said, adding that the students of today are the leaders of tomorrow. He reiterated that targeting of innocent civilians is a breach of international humanitarian law and that the perpetrators must be held to account. “We call for all attacks to cease immediately”, he added.
