European Parliament calls on Commission to integrate gender in EU foreign policy

23/10/2020 (Agence Europe) – The European Parliament adopted on Friday 23 October, by 477 votes in favour, 112 against and 94 abstentions, a resolution calling on the European External Action Service (EEAS) and the European Commission to integrate gender dimensions into the EU’s foreign policy and as part of the relevant institutions (see EUROPE B12587A7). Women account for only 26% of senior management positions in the EEAS, say MEPs, who are disappointed to see a target of 50%....
