23/10/2020 (Agence Europe) – As part of the framework of the CRII and CRII+ coronavirus response investment initiatives (see EUROPE 12460/3), the European Commission announced in a press release issued on Friday 23 October that it had approved ten Portuguese Operational Programmes to redirect more than €1 billion from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), the Cohesion Fund (CF) and the European Social Fund (ESF). This reprogramming is coupled with a temporary increase in the European cofinancing rate to 100% for projects addressing health and economic consequences, as well as coronavirus education. The reprogramming covers seven regions: Algarve, Azores, Centre, Lisbon, Madeira, Norte, Alentejo, and three national programmes: Compete, SEUR, Technical Assistance. (PH)
