06/10/2020 (Agence Europe) – The German Presidency of the Council of the EU announced on Tuesday, 6 October that EU Transport Ministers will take part in an informal exchange of views via videoconference between 9.00 and 11.00 a.m. on Thursday 8 October. Berlin said that this exchange of views should “facilitate further discussions”. The last Transport Council meeting was ended early for technical reasons by Andreas Scheuer, the German Minister of Transport (see EUROPE 12569/3). Ministers will discuss the matters that were on the agenda of the previous meeting (see EUROPE 12568/2), i.e.: - Germany’s draft emergency plan to guarantee the movement of goods within the EU in the event of a pandemic; - and the amended proposal to update the Single European Sky Regulation (SES2+), which was announced by the European Commission on 22 September (see EUROPE 12565/1).
