05/10/2020 (Agence Europe) – The President of SMEunited, Alban Maggiar, stressed the strengthening of the role of SMEs and SME organisations in the framework of partnership agreements within the cohesion policy, during an exchange with Apostolos Tzitzikostas, President of the European Committee of the Regions, on Friday 2 October. The experience of SMEunited members show that the partnership varies significantly from one Member State to another, according to the press release. To strengthen the partnership principle, Mr Maggiar called for improved exchange of good practices to further facilitate mutual learning at all levels and capacity building of SME organisations. For SMEunited, respect for the principle of subsidiarity is of paramount importance, also in order to better implement the principles of ‘better regulation’. (PH)
