Commission launches second public consultation on revision of ‘Packaging and Packaging Waste’ Directive

30/09/2020 (Agence Europe) – On Wednesday 30 September, the European Commission opened the second phase of the public consultation on the revision of the European Directive (94/62) on packaging and packaging waste. Scheduled for the second quarter of 2021, this initiative aims to improve packaging design to promote reuse and recycling, increase recycled content in packaging, tackle excessive packaging and reduce packaging waste.
