06/07/2020 (Agence Europe) – The spokesperson for the European External Action Service, Peter Stano, announced on 6 July that the EU-facilitated dialogue between Serbia and Kosovo would resume on Sunday, 12 July. The meeting, hosted by the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs, Josep Borrell, will bring together the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Avdullah Hoti, the President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, and the EU Special Representative for Dialogue, Miroslav Lajčák. Mr Hoti and Mr Vučić will also take part in a video-conference summit on Friday 10 July with Mr Borrell, the French President Emmanuel Macron, and German Chancellor Angela Merkel. According to the Élysée, the aim of this meeting is to “relaunch the Dialogue” to “enable the EU to facilitate a solution to their differences”. “It is no coincidence that we are continuing the Dialogue on Sunday, after Friday's meeting”, explained Mr Stano to EUROPE, adding that these were complementary events.
