06/07/2020 (Agence Europe) – Thanks to the humanitarian air bridge established by the EU as part of its response to the Covid-19 pandemic, a flight carrying medical supplies landed in Mogadishu (Somalia) on Sunday 5 July, the European Commission announced. The flight departed from Brindisi, Italy, with equipment provided by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Italian civil society organisations and international NGOs. The shipment included personal protective equipment and materials needed by NGOs in the recently flooded areas.
