On Tuesday 30 June, the Netherlands presented its position on a modernised skills agenda, one of the four initiatives (with a renewed guarantee for youth, a recommendation on vocational education and training and a communication on the world of work) which the Commission will present on Wednesday 1 July.
In this four-page working document, the Dutch authorities call for better European coordination. They also urge the Commission “to focus on the alignment and evaluation of existing instruments before proposing new instruments, in particular as regards individual learning accounts or budgets”.
The document concludes with good practices in the country, particularly with regard to adult learning and the learning culture of enterprises.
