29/05/2020 (Agence Europe) – On 29 May, the German EU Council Presidency launched its website eu2020.de with the slogan “Together for Europe’s recovery”. “The task of overcoming the Covid-19 crisis is a unique opportunity for us in the EU. We can and must come even closer together, developing greater internal solidarity and becoming stronger and more sovereign vis-à-vis the outside world. This is how we in Europe want to emerge from the crisis”, stressed German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas. The Presidency also presented its logo, with the Möbius band at its centre, symbolising “an innovative and integrated Europe in which unity is created through exchanging and converging different interests. A strong band for a united Europe. A Europe rooted in a shared spirit of solidarity”. (CG)
